Members of Happy to Translate have a new tool to help bridge the communication gap between organisations and service users who have little or no English language. The award winning initiative recently asked Blue Sword to create an app which enables staff to establish a service user’s language and communicate with basic phrases, harnessing the power of mobile in addition to existing paper and online tools. The app supports staff in member organisations to implement and maintain a high standard of customer service by providing equal access to information and services through overcoming language barriers.
