What does your company do?

We help our customers and clients design their perfect room or workspace using our range of customisable Danish designed furniture and accessories. We have a team of Design consultants who are all degree qualified in interior design, product design, interior architecture or similar. They love helping our customers and clients navigate our customisable designs to get the WOW effect.


What is your role within the company?

I’m in the great position now that I can spend more time looking at the direction of the business and how to grow even more. Day to day it is marketing and finance which a real contrast but I love both areas. I love getting in about the numbers but also love it when a marketing strategy results in customers in the store.


What sets you apart from competitors?

Our philosophy isn’t that the customer is always right, it is that the customer is often wrong but we do it anyway. We offer a lifetime guarantee for as long as they own their furniture and even help resolve accidental damage issues. We also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If the customer isn’t happy on delivery then they can come in to the store, reselect something else and when it arrives in from Denmark we will come out and swap it all over. No other interiors company would dare offer these guarantees, especially for made to order furniture.


How can people get in touch?

We have retail stores and B2B departments in our Glasgow Sauchiehall Street store and Edinburgh Rose Street store. I’m 50/50 between both stores. I’m having a great time driving back and forward through the road works between Glasgow and Edinburgh.


Which Blue Sword services do you use?

We needed a way to preserve the knowledge and experience in our existing Glasgow store to pass over to our new Edinburgh team. Blue Sword did an amazing job with setting up an internal website for us to use to communicate systems and procedures, what’s happening within the business, to bring our social media feeds together and to enable group chats about ongoing projects all in one place. Blue Sword also work on web optimisation with a focus on link building.


How has Blue Sword impacted your business?

The internal site has only just gone live will help build a team identity across all parts of the business. It is hard work writing each procedure but the degree of efficiency it brings is worth a fortune to the business. The feedback from our Design Consultants is that the link building is our top lead generation strategy.
